A rural Mountain Home man has been arrested after he allegedly struck another man in the head with a baseball bat. Thirty-four-year-old Michael Charles Glavish has been charged with a felony count of battery in the second degree.

According to the probable cause affidavit in the case, deputy Brian Williams responded to a residence on McBride Lane south of Mountain Home Oct. 28th where he made contact with the victim, Chad Michael McBride. McBride told the deputy Glavish had struck him in the head with a wooden baseball bat and then fled the scene. McBride says the altercation happened when he was talking to his cousin about not using drugs in the bathroom of the residence, and Glavish allegedly hit him with the bat. McBride refused emergency medical treatment at the scene.

The deputy went to the Glavish residence to question him, but he was not there. He was arrested Wednesday and is being held in the Baxter County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond.
