A Bull Shoals man who has been the subject of a manhunt since Friday has been taken into custody without incident.

Bull Shoals Mayor David Nixon says 32-year-old James McDaniel was arrested late Monday morning in Marion County, following an anonymous tip.

Late Monday, Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery said McDaniel was being held on a felony charge of terroristic threatening, after he allegedly threatened the life of the manager of his former place of employment in Midway.

Nixon said earlier the search for McDaniel began Friday after he reportedly made threats toward public officials. As a result, Bull Shoals City Hall was on lockdown for a period. The lockdown was lifted when it was believed the Bull Shoals man had left the area.

At the time, Mayor Nixon said McDaniel was allegedly heard at his place of employment making a variety of threats heard by a fellow co-worker.

Montgomery says McDaniel is being held on a $25,000 bond and is set to appear in Baxter County Circuit Court later this week. He says McDaniel was on probation with Arkansas Community Corrections at the time of the incident, and ACC has placed a hold on him.
