Basketball makes up the local Tuesday schedule as another season gets underway for Mountain Home High School. The Bombers and Lady Bombers will begin the 2018-2019 campaign in Searcy as their opening opponent will be Riverview.
Mountain Home’s girls are coming off a 15-16 season. The Lady Bombers finished the previous year in the quarterfinals of the Class 6A State Tournament at West Memphis with a loss to Greenwood. The Bomber boys were 12-16 a year ago. Mountain Home just missed a state tournament berth after losing to Jacksonville in overtime of a consolation game in the 6A-East Conference Tournament. As Josh Fulcher enters his third season at the helm of the program, he says he knows the team lost a lot of size from a year ago, but he has a multitude of players who can fill those positions on the low block.
