A Silver Alert issued late Wednesday morning for a missing man from Searcy County has been canceled after 84-year-old Arlis Green was located safe in Mountain Home about 11:45.Searcy County Sheriff Joey Pruitt says Green called home after his vehicle ran out of gas.
Sheriff Pruitt says he appreciates the help from volunteers and law enforcement in Baxter and Stone counties, including the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office helicopter. He says the search had been concentrated near the national forest based on Green’s occupational background and a comment he had made to his wife. Pruitt says the search area is near where Baxter, Searcy and Stone counties join.
