A dusting of snow fell Wednesday night across the Twin Lakes Area and while most roads are in good shape, there are a few problem areas and several area schools are closed. For the latest school closings, visit ktlo.com/cancellations.

Most roads in North Central Arkansas and southern Missouri are just wet with patchy snow, however most bridges are snow covered. ARDOT’s website, idrivearkansas.com, shows roads in Fulton and Sharp counties are slushy, while the rest of North Central Arkansas roads are clear. Most of the roads in Northeast Arkansas have either slush or patchy snow on them.

In Southern Missouri, MODOT’s website shows roads in Ozark County as clear, however roads in Howell County are partly covered with snow, except the northern part of the county where roads are completely snow covered. Douglas County roads are also reported to be snow covered.

In Mountain Home, officially one quarter of an inch of snow was recorded. A winter weather advisory continues until noon for Baxter, Fulton and Izard counties in North Central Arkansas along with Ozark, Howell and Douglas counties in Southern Missouri, as some light snow is still possible.

The snow won’t last long as temperatures Thursday are expected to reach 48.
