Basketball is on the local Thursday schedule as the Arvest Bank Tournament continues at Flippin. The semifinals will be held in the new gym, and the consolation semifinals will be played in the old gym. Action tips off at 4 p.m.
Three of Viola’s teams are scheduled to take part in the Highland Classic. The junior boys meet Jonesboro Westside at 5:00, the Lady Longhorns take on Batesville at 6:00, and Viola’s senior boys face Valley View at 7:15.
In other high school basketball, Izard County travels to Bradford.
On the junior high level, Melbourne makes the trip to Mountain View.
