A rep for the Aerosmith guitarist tells ABC Radio that Perry “was released from the hospital and is home and doing well.”

Perry also took to his social media sites on Tuesday to let fans know he was “[d]oing well,” and thanking them “for all the love and support!”

According to a statement issued Sunday by Joe’s publicist, the 68-year-old musician “experienced shortness of breath and was treated backstage by paramedics who gave the guitarist oxygen and used a tracheal tube to clear his airway before taking him to a hospital.” The statement added that Perry was “alert and responsive” after the incident.

Perry had just finished performing the Aerosmith hit “Walk This Way” with Joel before the incident.

This health scare follows a July 10, 2016, incident during which the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer collapsed onstage while performing in Brooklyn, New York, with his side band, The Hollywood Vampires. It was believed then that Joe suffered cardiac arrest, although he returned to action later that year.

Perry is scheduled to launch a 10-date U.S. solo tour in support of his 2018 solo album Sweetzerland Manifesto on November 30 in Sioux City, Iowa. He recently released a new single called “Quake” that will appear on an upcoming vinyl version of the album.
