Area schools continue postseason in Missouri

There is high school football scheduled for Saturday as a few area teams in Missouri will continue postseason play.

West Plains will take its 12-0 record up to Kirkwood for their game in the Class 4 State Quarterfinals. The Zizzers will be paired with Ladue Horton Watkins from St. Louis.

Ava will have its first road test of the postseason. The Bears are currently 11-1, and they’ll play at Lamar in the Class 2 State Quarterfinals.

Thayer comes off two consecutive upsets to finish as district champions, and they’ll have home field advantage in the Class 1 State Quarterfinals. The Bobcats’ record is 8-4, and they’ll play host to Hayti on Saturday.

All three games kick off at 1 p.m.
