JAMM Entertainment Alabama‘s Randy Owen has been inducted into the Alabama Business Hall of Fame. The honor comes following the singer’s achievements in music, agriculture and humanitarianism.

“It’s a great honor to be one of this year’s inductees into the Alabama Business Hall of Fame,” Randy says in a statement. “It’s very special that my entire family got to share the night together. God bless all the fellow inductees, their families and our home state!”

The Alabama Business Hall of Fame “honors, preserves and perpetuates the names and outstanding accomplishments of business personalities who have brought lasting fame to the state of Alabama.”

Randy was recognized for his nearly five-decade career with Alabama, his dedication to operating his 3,000-acre ranch, and his philanthropy. He’s assisted in raising nearly $800 million for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital through launching Country Cares for St. Jude Kids, an annual charity drive.

He has also helped with the rebuilding efforts after tornadoes struck Tuscaloosa in 2011 and Jacksonville State University in March of this year.

In addition to being honored by the Alabama Business Hall of Fame, Alabama will be recognized with a Lifetime Entertainment Achievement Award at the 11th annual T.J. Martell Foundation Nashville Honors Gala on February 25, 2019.
