Salvation Army prepares for big Thanksgiving feast

The Salvation Army in Mountain Home is prepared for a big feast Thanksgiving day and anyone in the community who would like a free meal is invited. Crystal McFarland is the Christian Education Director at the Salvation Army and she says they have been working for since Tuesday to prepare for the event.

The Thanksgiving meal will be served in the Salvation Army Fellowship Hall which is located at 121 Highway 201 North between the thrift store and the church. McFarland says there is no charge for the meal.

McFarland says anyone who would like to volunteer is welcome to call or stop by the Salvation Army.

Last year, around 400 people were served. McFarland says they are prepared for 500 people this year.

Again, the Thanksgiving meal at the Salvation Army will be served from 11-1.
