A Mountain Home man pled no contest to drug-related charges against him during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday and was sentenced to five years probation.

Fifty-four-year-old Ronald Culver was arrested for possessing drugs and drug paraphernalia April 21st when a car in which he was a passenger was searched by a Cotter police officer.

As a condition of his probation, Culver was also ordered to spend 12 months in an addiction treatment program at Care Center Ministries in Mountain Home.

Culver also has legal problems in Washington County and wanted to have any sentence he receives in that county run concurrently with the one imposed in Baxter County. Circuit Judge Gordon Webb said he would indicate he had no objection to the arrangement, but told Culver he had no authority to order the Washington County court to approve the request.
