He stated he was traveling east over two hours earlier in a pickup truck when he observed a white SUV within his lane. Knight claimed he hit the opposing vehicle head-on, and his vehicle went off the roadway and into the woods striking trees.

Knight told the deputy he was rendered unconscious from the accident. He later came to and drove to a residence of some relatives on Knight Lane who then called 911. Knight was complaining of pain to his right ankle, left rib, lift hip and head. A relative stated Knight’s ankle was black and blue, but the deputy reported no visible injuries to Knight. He was later transported to Baxter Regional for treatment.

The corporal photographed the pickup truck and noted the only damage was to the right rear passenger side. He attempted to make contact with Knight for further information, but the deputy was unable to locate him.
