ABC/Image Group LA After Jimmie Allen‘s Wednesday morning stop on NBC’s Today, he’ll be approaching five appearances on NBC’s morning talk show, even though he’s a relative newcomer.

In fact, he even co-hosted the fourth hour of Today earlier this month with Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford.

So, does the Delaware native have designs on his own show?

“The crazy thing is, that’s what I’m working on…” he tells ABC Radio. “I’m trying to host my own show to come on, like a 30-40 minute segment, three or four days a week, whoever wants to pick it up.”

“So I think we’re gonna start working on that,” he reveals. “I started writing kinda what it’s about. I think February we’re gonna start pitching it.”

This week, Jimmie’s debut single, “Best Shot,” spends its second week at #1, as he kicks off the Seasons Change Tour with Scotty McCreery.
