Matthew Robert Neitman of Cotter changed his plea to guilty on drug-related charges and was put on probation for five years during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.

The 42-year-old Neitman was arrested in mid-September after a Cotter police officer searched the apartment where he was living and found drug paraphernalia.

According to the probable cause affidavit, the officer located marijuana “bongs” and two methamphetamine pipes.

The revocation of an earlier period of probation was dismissed by the state.

Neitman was sentenced under the provisions of Act 346, meaning if he stays out of trouble during his probation, he can apply to the court to have his record sealed.
