Woman admits writing number of hot checks

An Ozark County woman entered a guilty plea to writing hot checks to a number of Mountain Home businesses and was sentenced to three years probation and ordered to pay almost $1,850 in restitution during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.

Thirty-six-year-old Tabitha Cathcart of Isabella admitted in March and May she had written the checks on a closed account on a bank in Quincy, Illinois.
