SPRINGDALE, Ark. (AP)   Authorities say an 18-year-old man wanted in the shooting death of an Arkansas man has been arrested in California.

Police say Anjel Antonio Torres of Springdale was arrested Sunday in San Bernardino County, California, for the death of 19-year-old Javier Nicolas-Rodriguez.

The Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports that Torres was being held without bond in California on preliminary charges of first-degree murder, committing a terroristic act, three counts of aggravated assault, and engaging in a criminal gang, organization or enterprise.

Arkansas court records do not list an attorney to speak on his behalf.

Authorities say Nicolas-Rodriguez was found last Thursday, dead from a gunshot wound, inside a car that had crashed in Springdale.

Prosecutor Matt Durrett says he expects an extradition hearing for Torres will be held within a few days.
