A Stone County man has been arrested and charged in connection with the alleged rape of a minor, while his wife faces charges of abuse of a minor.
Stone County Sheriff Lance Bonds says 46-year-old Lloyd Stair has been charged with eight counts of rape, a class “Y” felony. His wife, 34-year-old Stephanie Stair, has been charged with eights counts of permitting abuse of a minor, a class “B” felony. The two are being held in the Stone County Detention Center.
Sheriff Bonds says the arrests follow a report from a minor on Dec. 5th saying she had been raped for the last six years.
Stone County investigators made the arrests with the assistance of the Arkansas Crimes Against Children Division and the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division.
