MHHS basketball teams to host Bentonville West Friday

High school basketball makes up much of the local Friday schedule as Mountain Home wraps up its two-game home stand. The Bombers and Lady Bombers are set to welcome Bentonville West to the Hangar.
Mountain Home’s girls are currently 5-3 on the season. The Lady Bombers defeated Harrison in their home opener Tuesday. Bentonville West is 3-4. The Lady Wolves suffered a four-point loss to Webb City, Missouri, in the Crabtree Tournament Saturday at Bentonville High School.
The Mountain Home boys are 2-5 on the year after falling to Harrison three nights ago. Bentonville West is 3-4 following a two-point win Tuesday at Siloam Springs. This will be the second matchup between the boys’ teams this season. The Bombers beat the Wolves 53-48 November 30th in the consolation semifinals of the Citizens Bank and Trust Tournament at Van Buren.
The girls’ game tips off at 6 p.m. followed by the boys’ contest. Both games can be heard on Classic Hits 101.7 and streaming live at ktlo.com.

Elsewhere, Cotter travels to Fayetteville to meet Haas Hall Academy, Norfork makes the trip to St. Joe, Yellville-Summit heads to Decatur, Bruno-Pyatt hosts Viola, Bakersfield travels to Chadwick, Gainesville’s boys entertain Thayer, the Dora boys are home against Cabool, Mammoth Spring hosts Maynard, Calico Rock entertains Mountain View, Izard County makes the trip to Lead Hill, Melbourne is home against Rector, Marshall hosts Valley Springs, Timbo heads to Greers Ferry to face West Side, Rural Special entertains Mount Vernon-Enola, Omaha’s girls travel to Springdale to take on Shiloh Christian, and Jasper is home against Kingston.
