A one-vehicle accident in Newton County resulted in the death of a St. Louis man and injuries to a Missouri woman. According to the Arkansas State Police, 39-year-old Michael Wilson was killed Wednesday evening, and 29-year-old Leslie Randle of Bel Ridge was transported to North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison from the scene in Compton.
Wilson was the driver of a pickup truck traveling southbound on Arkansas Highway 43. The truck left the road, struck a tree and then struck a barbed wire fence.
The weather was cloudy, and the road conditions were dry in the 7:30 p.m. accident.
