The Arvest Foundation has donated $3,000 to the City of Bull Shoal earmarked for use by its police department.

During the presentation of the grant, Police Chief James Kuchenbecker said the money will help fund the necessary equipment to be installed in a new police cruiser. The cruiser replaces an outdated vehicle requiring an excessive number of repairs. The new police cruiser will be put into service in 2019.

Chief Kuchenbecker said in order to respond to the needs of the community, it’s crucial the department is equipped with the proper tools and resources. This donation will help the department meet those
demands in the coming year.

Mike Willard, president and CEO of Arvest Bank in North Central Arkansas, says this is a donation that will benefit everyone in the community, and it will be a gift that will last for years to come. Willard says our first responders are dedicated to helping ensure the safety and well-being of our friends and neighbors and Arvest ise proud to be able to support them in this way.

The Arvest Foundation seeks to provide funding to grantees who are actively working to create positive change for others. Major areas of focus include K-12 education, economic development, and enhancing the quality of life throughout the Arvest footprint.
