Mountain Home Police have arrested a man on a felony theft of property charge after he was found passed out in the lobby of Baxter Regional Medical Center.

According to the probable cause affidavit, 27-year-old Adam Gilbert was located Christmas Eve beside a cell phone charging station at the hospital. An address for Gilbert was not listed on court documents.

When asked how he got to the hospital, he told law enforcement he drove himself and pointed to a pickup truck in the parking lot. The officer had prior knowledge of Gilbert being possibly connected to the theft of a truck from a Mountain Home business.

Officers went to the vehicle and discovered its license number matched the one reported stolen.

When questioned, Gilbert allegedly admitted to taking the vehicle.

Gilbert’s bond was set at $2,500, and he is scheduled to appear in Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.
