In a visit on KTLO-FM's Talk of the Town hosted by Kim Szecsi, Jennifer Veloria-Dunn, community outreach coordinator with the Baxter County Library, said the event was designed to help identify volunteers in the community.
Veloria-Dunn says those interested in volunteering will have access to representatives of organizations at their booths.
Veloria-Dunn says anyone interested in volunteering is encouraged to attend Saturday's event, including teens who can use their service to build their academic resumes.
About 20 area organizations that depend on volunteers are expected to showcase their group.
Community organizations that would like a booth, available at no charge, need to register at baxlib.org or call 870-580-0976.
In case of inclement weather, the Volunteer Fair will be rescheduled for Saturday, Jan. 19th.
The Volunteer Fair is sponsored by the Baxter County Library, the Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce, and Harps.
For additional information, call 870-580-0976 or visit the librarys website at www.baxlib.org library. The Donald W. Reynolds Library Serving Baxter County is located at 300 Library Hill in Mountain Home.
