3 Pinkston Middle School students win Elks essay contest

Three Pinkston Middle School sixth grade students have been honored as winners of the 2018/2019 Elks Americanism Essay Contest.

The three students, Emerson Walls, Rylee Crecelius and Ella Hilvert, were honored at an awards assembly, with their work selected from over 270 essays entered with the theme “What Makes You Proud of America?”

The top three winners received a check for $100 each from the Mountain Home Elks Lodge, and their essays will be forwarded for state and national judging.
