The mixture of rain and freezing precipitation has led to a few hazardous driving conditions in southern Missouri. According to the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT), most of the local issues are in Howell County.

A portion of Missouri Highway 142 is closed due to heavy rains flooding the roadway. The closure is located west of Moody.

Motorists traveling in U.S. Highway 60 in northern Howell County will want to use caution. The highway is partly covered from Mountain View through Willow Springs and further northwest.

The Arkansas Department of Transportation is not reporting any winter precipitation on the highways. Spokespeople from the Baxter and Marion County Sheriff’s Offices both say the local roads are mainly wet.
