A man stopped for driving a vehicle with an expired license plate and ending up facing drug offenses entered a guilty plea to those charges during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.Twenty-nine-year-old Keith Richardson, who lives in Baxter County but has a Calico Rock mailing address, was sentenced to six years probation.

Richardson was stopped by a Baxter County deputy sheriff in early October last year. The deputy found Richardson to have an expired driver’s license as well. A search of his vehicle turned up a small black case, which had a straw and a plastic bag containing what appeared to be methamphetamine.

Initially, Richardson denied the vehicle or the methamphetamine belonged to him.
