Twin Lakes Future Fund makes it easy to get involved in betterment of community

It can be a challenge for adults in this day and age to contribute to their local community while also working at a job and raising a family. However, it doesn’’t take a great wealth or a big time commitment to give back thanks in part to the Twin Lakes Future Fund.

The Twin Lakes Future Fund was established as an offshoot of the Twin Lakes Community Foundation in 2012. TLCF Executive Director Gwen Khayat recently appeared on KTLO-FM’s Talk of the Town and said she learned from her predecessor, Janice Fletcher, the idea came from something similar that was started in Hot Springs.

The Twin Lakes Future Fund is a group of young business professionals giving back to their community through building endowments. It helps educate them about the importance of giving and engage new leadership in the community. Twin Lakes Future Fund board member Phil Frame also appeared on the Talk of the Town, and he says it’s easy to get involved.

The Twin Lakes Future Fund members have a few get-together events every year. Frame says their signature event on Halloween started three years ago.
