Calico Rock man being held on drug trafficking charge, $100,000 bond

A Calico Rock man, 39-year-old Travis Lee Cagle, is scheduled to make his first appearance in Izard County Circuit Court Wednesday to answer to felony charges of trafficking a controlled substance, methamphetamine, and maintaining a drug premises.

Cagle is being held in the Izard County Detention Center on a $100,000 bond.

According to the probable cause affidavit, officers from the Izard and Stone counties sheriff's offices, the 16th Judicial District Drug Task Force and the Department of Community Corrections' Probation/Parole made a home visit to Cagle's residence with a search warrant. Cagle is on active supervision.

Officers reportedly located a crystalline substance field testing positive for methamphetamine and numerous items of drug paraphernalia used in the distribution of controlled substances. The crystalline substance allegedly weighed more than two hundred grams.

A green vegetable material identified as marijuana was also found.

According to the state and national crime information centers, Cagle has four more felony convictions, leading to a charge of being a habitual offender.
