Cotter City Council member Wayne Alexander has submitted his resignation to Mayor Mac Caradine citing personal reasons.Mayor Caradine says the resignation is effective immediately as of Friday.
The mayor says Alexander expressed his regrets for being unable to fulfill his term. Alexander says he appreciated the opportunity to have served the community and the citizens in Ward 3 over the past eight years and wishes the City of Cotter continued success.
Mayor Caradine says anyone interested in being considered for the position must reside in Ward 3. Those individuals should contact the mayor.
Prospective candidates will be consider by the city council at its next meeting on Feb. 28th.
