District play ends Saturday in Arkansas, begins in Missouri

It’s a busy Saturday with high school basketball on the local schedule.

District tournament play will come to an end in Arkansas.
The championship games of the 1A-2 District Tournament at Izard County High School in Brockwell as both games will pair the top two seeds. The girls’ game tips off at 6 p.m. between Norfork and Viola, and Calico Rock faces Izard County at 7:20.
Timbo’s boys will compete for the championship of the 1A-5 District Tournament on their home floor. The top-seeded Tigers take on Greers Ferry West Side at 7:15.
After being postponed due to weather, both of Jasper’s teams will be in front of the home crowd as they compete in the title games of the 1A-1 District Tournament. The Lady Pirates tip off at 6:00 against Alpena, and the Jasper boys play the New School at 7:20.
Both of Valley Springs’ teams will be in Clinton for the championship contests of the 3A-1 East District Tournament. The Lady Tigers will tip off at 6:00 against Mountain View, and the Valley Springs boys will be paired with the host Yellowjackets at 7:30.
Both of Harrison’s teams will be at Goblin Arena as they face Pea Ridge on the last day of the 4A-1 District Tournament. The girls’ teams will play for third place at 2:30, and the boys’ squads will square off for the title at 7:00.

District play will get underway in the Show Me State.
Both of Gainesville’s teams will be in Hartville to open play in the Class 2, District 9 Tournament. The Lady Bulldogs take on Norwood at 10:30, and the Gainesville boys will play top-seeded Mansfield at 3:00.
Lutie’s boys will be in Marshfield for their first game in the Class 1, District 4 Tournament. The Indians will be matched up with Chadwick at 12:30.
