Arkansas State, longtime women’s hoops coach Boyer part ways

JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) After 20 years, Arkansas State is parting ways with
women's basketball coach Brian Boyer.

The school announced Wednesday that Boyer's contract is not being renewed.

Boyer is a four-time Sun Belt Conference coach of the year, but this season
ended with a 12-18 record and a first-round exit in the conference tournament on
Monday.

Athletic Director Terry Mohajir said there is no immediate timeline available
for the search due to ongoing NCAA women's basketball postseason play. In a
statement, Mohajir thanked Boyer for his service to the women's program and the
school.
