ALCS and NLCS Begin This Weekend, Will Determine World Series Match Up

iStock/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — The final four teams that will face off for a chance at a World Series title are set. The Cleveland Indians and the Toronto Blue Jays will face off in the American League Championship Series, while the the L.A. Dodgers and the Chicago Cubs will meet up for the National League.

Of the four franchises, none have won a World Series title in the last 20 years. The Blue Jays were the most recent title winners, beating the Phillies in 1993. The Cubs hope to end a 108-year drought, last winning the World Series over the Detroit Tigers in 1908. The Dodgers won their last title in 1988, and the Indians in 1948.

Game 1 for the ALCS is Friday night in Cleveland at 8 p.m. The first game of the NLCS is Saturday night at 8:08 p.m.
