ATV crash claims life of woman, seriously injures man, both from MH

The Ozark County Sheriff’s Office has released details on an ATV crash Saturday that claimed the life of a 19-year-old woman and seriously injured a 21-year-old man, both of whom are from Mountain Home.
According to a report from the Ozark County Times, Peyton Fowler was killed in the accident at Cloud 9 Ranch near Caulfield. A passenger, Jacob Waugh, sustained severe injuries and was transported to Baxter Regional Medical Center for treatment, before being transferred to Mercy Hospital in Springfield.Ozark County Sheriff’s Deputy Jeff Lane tells the Times his office received a call at 2 a.m. Saturday reporting a side-by-side rollover.

A post-crash investigation by Deputy Seth Miller says three ATVs were traveling in a group at the time of the crash. The Times says Miller’s report indicated the ATV Fowler and Waugh were aboard was “traveling at excessive speed on one of the dirt roads and failed to negotiate a curve.”
