Kimberly Foster, a registered nurse in the Baxter Regional Medical Center Cline Emergency Center, is the featured instructor in the national "Safe Sitter" November newsletter. Safe Sitter is a medically accurate instructional program designed for adolescents ages 11 to 13. Foster has been a nurse at Baxter Regional Medical Center since 2007, and graduated from the BRMC Safe Sitter program herself at age 13.
In the article, Foster says the Safe Sitter program inspired her career choice as a nurse and made her a better caretaker as a teen-age babysitter. Safe Sitter classes are offered each summer at the Schliemann Center for Women's Health Education Center by BRMC's certified Safe Sitter instructors.
