PRNewsFoto/Columbia Records/Legacy RecordingsIf you want to get a jump on your holiday shopping, today marks the release of a bunch of big albums, whether you’ve been naughty…or nice, including:

— Sting’s new album, 57th & 9th, his first pop/rock album in more than a decade. In recent years, he’s done everything from a Christmas album, to a Broadway musical, to a live symphonic disc, to an album of lute music from the 1600s.  The album’s first single, “I Can’t Stop Thinking About You,” is an upbeat track that Sting says isn’t actually about a woman, but about “that obsessive search for inspiration.

— Pink Floyd The Early Years 1965-1972, a 27-disc collection containing a treasure trove of rare and previously unreleased material from the first several years of the band’s existence.

— Bob Dylan The 1966 Live Recordings, a massive box set featuring every known live recording from Bob Dylan’s historic 1966 world tour containing 36 CDs including full-length performances from cities in the U.S., the U.K., Ireland, mainland Europe and Australia with future members of The Band.

— David Bowie Legacy, a new compilation of the influential singer’s best-loved singles, as a single CD and a two-CD set. The single-CD anthology features 20 tracks, spanning from Bowie’s first hit single, “A Space Oddity,” through 2016’s “Lazarus,” from his final studio album, Blackstar. The two-CD edition of Legacy delves deeper into his catalog, with a total of 40 songs.
