Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, Madonna Nab American Music Awards Nominations

Dick Clark ProductionsBruce Springsteen & the E Street Band and Madonna are among the few veteran artists who have received nominations for the 2016 American Music Awards. The New Jersey rockers and the dance-pop diva will be competing for the Tour of the Year honor along with Beyonce.

In addition, the late Prince‘s classic 1984 album Purple Rain is in the running for the Top Soundtrack prize. Also nominated for that award are two recent soundtracks, Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Suicide Squad: The Album, the latter of which includes classic songs by Creedence Clearwater Revival and War, as well as new tunes by a variety of contemporary artists.

Receiving the most nominations for this year’s American Music Awards is singer/rapper Drake, who set a record by garnering a whopping 13 nods.

The 2016 American Music Awards will air live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on November 20 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. You can vote for your favorites now via TheAMAs.com.
