ABC News(LOS ANGELES) — Two sisters from California whose basketball skills have made them viral stars got a surprise message from the WNBA’s Los Angeles Sparks.

Caylie Lopez, 9, and Maya Lopez, 8, began playing basketball two years ago but their incredible skills, seen in Instagram videos, quickly developed.

“I started loving basketball when I saw my dad playing basketball,” Caylie said Wednesday on ABC’s Good Morning America. “So he inspired me to play basketball.”

The Southern California-based siblings, known as the “Splash Sisters,” play point guard and Maya also plays shooting guard.

The Sparks, the sisters’ favorite basketball team, sent their young fans a special message inviting them to their next home game.

The sisters watched the message live on GMA. When asked how the Sparks’ personal invitation made them feel, the girls replied, nearly in unison, “happy.”
