Jason Miller/Getty Images(CLEVELAND) — Cleveland Cavaliers’ Kevin Love set an NBA record  for most points scored in the first quarter of a game.

Love scored 34 points within the first quarter of Wednesday night’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers.

The forward was just 3 points shy of the league record for points in any quarter. That is held by Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson, who scored 37 in the third on Jan. 23, 2015, according to ESPN.

“I’m not trying to be nonchalant about it, but sometimes when you’re in it, you don’t necessarily feel it,” said Love, who finished with 40 points in Cleveland’s victory over Portland.
