iStock/Thinkstock(RIO DE JANEIRO) — The Chinese silver medalist in the women’s 3-meter springboard might be a new record-holder, in love.
He Zi, 25, of China won second place in the diving competition on Sunday. But just after stepping down from the podium with her new silver medal, she also received a marriage proposal from her boyfriend, who is also a diver for the Chinese team.
Qin Kai, 30, kneeled and presented the ring to He, before placing it on her finger and asking her to marry him.
Qin also presented He with a red rose in a glass box, while the crowd cheered.
The pair was caught on camera hugging after the proposal.
