For the third time in less than two months, a Cotter woman is back in the Baxter County jail after she was arrested, again, on felony drug charges. Mountain Home Police Chief Carry Manuel says 38 year old Lisa D. Pederson was arrested Wednesday following an investigation by Mountain Home Police into drug activity at a local motel. She was seen by officers exiting a motel room carrying bags, purses and containers. Officers seized illegal drugs, prescriptions, three handguns, drug paraphernalia and $4,590 in cash from Pederson. She is being held in the Baxter County jail with bond set at $100,000.
Pederson has been charged with three counts of possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, cocaine and heroin; two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia; and one count each of possession of a controlled substance, morphine, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms and possession of firearms. She is also charged with three misdemeanor counts of drug possession; hydrocodone, alprazolam and marijuana.
Late last month, Pederson was arrested by Mountain Home Police on felony drug charges and released from the Baxter County jail after posting $10,000 bond. In late September, she was arrested by Baxter County Sheriff's deputies on felony drug charges and was released from jail after posting $10,000 bond and $5,000 bond on a Marion County warrant.
Chief Manuel says at the time of Pederson's arrest, 41 year old Mitchell Smith of Flippin was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Baxter County.
