Credit: Henry DiltzWhile David Crosby‘s latest solo album, Lighthouse, will be released on October 21, the folk-rock legend also has follow-up in the works, and he recently shared some new details about the project via Twitter. The founding Byrds and Crosby, Stills & Nash member reports that he’s planning to call the forthcoming album Sky Trails, which he says he’s in the process of finishing.

Crosby says he initially was going call the album Home Free, which is the name of a song that will appear on the collection, but he likes Sky Trails better. David says he’s working on the album with his son, CSN touring keyboardist James Raymond, who co-wrote much of the record with him. Crosby also reports that he’s backed by a full band on most of the tunes, which he says are a lot like those that appear on his 2014 solo album Croz. Raymond was his main collaborator on that record as well.

In other news, a new song from Lighthouse called “By the Light of Common Day” recently debuted on EW.com, and you also can check it out on the GroundUp Music label’s official YouTube channel.

Crosby tells Entertainment Weekly that the delicate acoustic tune was co-written by Becca Stevens, who also contributed backing vocals to the song along with Michelle Willis and Michael League. All three musicians will be accompanying David on his upcoming U.S. fall tour.

As previously reported, Crosby recorded and co-produced Lighthouse with Michael League of the modern-jazz collective Snarky Puppy.
