Courtesy of On the BlueThe next edition of The Moody Blues‘ fan cruise doesn’t take place until January 2018, but the initial lineup of the nautical music fest has just been unveiled. Among the acts slated to join the veteran British rockers on the Moody Blues Cruise 2018 are Dave Mason, Jefferson Starship, Richie Furay, the Alan Parsons Live Project, Little River Band, Ambrosia and The Ides of March.

The fourth installment of the cruise has been subtitled “Sur la Mer” after The Moody Blues’ 1988 studio album of the same name, which included the top 30 hit “I Know You’re Out There Somewhere.” The five-night cruise sets sail from Miami on January 2 and stops at Grand Cayman Island and Cozumel, Mexico, before returning to port on January 7. You can reserve your spot on the trip now by visiting MoodiesCruise.com.

Other artists on the bill include The Strawbs, Caravan, Shawn Phillips, Lighthouse and The Orchestra, which features former members of Electric Light Orchestra. In addition to the many performances, the cruise will offer Q&A sessions and meet-and-greet events. Prior to the journey, attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy a complimentary New Year’s Eve concert and party in Miami, and a New Year’s Day music and football-watching bash.

Moody Blues frontman Justin Hayward says of the seagoing extravaganza, “It’s such a great opportunity to have all the fans together. I think the cruises are probably more about the people who love the Moody’s music getting together; I think we’re kind of incidental to it. I’m looking forward to it; it’s always fun. And it’s good to be with other artists.”
