     Eleven building permits were issued by the City of Mountain Home during the month of December, according to Roberta Pack from the City of Mountain Home Building Inspection Department, including one new construction permit for a 48 unit apartment complex issued to Ridge Construction for Valley Estates of Mountain Home II at a construction value of $1,660,000. Two residential construction permits were issued for single family residences, one to Eddie and Suzanne Goodwin at a construction value of $500,000 in Big Creek Estates and another Big Creek Estates single family residence to Richard and Brenda Hasselwander at a construction value of $478,000.

     New commercial permits were issued to Sonic of Mountain Home for 1,490 square feet of heated space and 200 square feet of unheated space at a construction value of $548,000; Affordable Storage Units LLC for mini storage units at a construction value of $50,000 and another to Collier Auto Supply for 7,500 square feet of heated space with a construction value of $422,435.

     Three sign permits were issued, two with a construction value of $1,400 each to Powell Feed at 1310 E. 9th Street and another to Vet Clinic, Inc. at 203 N. College. The third was issued to GFS at 1309 Bradley Drive with a construction value of $2,850.

     A construction permit for a 24 by 30 foot garage was issued to Brenda Mattison at 1704 Monroe Avenue for a construction cost of $20,000 and one demolition permit was issued to Dilbeck Excavation to tear down the old Sonic at 1017 Highway 62 East.

     The value of the eleven permits for December was nearly $3,630,0000.

     Cost of all permits issued for the month of December totaled nearly $$8,700 including $7,774 for the actual cost for the building permits, $140 for mechanical permits and $783 for plumbing permits.

     The city Building and Inspection Department handled 85 inspections during the month of December.
