Enrollment for the fall semester at Arkansas State University Mountain Home is unchanged from last fall’s numbers, according to Roz Blagg, Vice Chancellor for Student Services at ASUMH. She says while the university always likes to see enrollment increase, their primary concern is meeting the needs of the students and community. One of those needs is helping students prepare to enter the work force.

The mix of traditional students and non-traditional, or those returning to the classroom, remains fairly even, according to Blagg.

Blagg says the support local students receive from the Mountain Home Education Foundation has had an impact on enrollment at ASUMH. She expects that to increase with the foundations new program, The Promise, which will provide tuition to students in need of financial resources to attend college.
