The 15th annual Gassville in the Park festival is set for Saturday at Gassville’s City Park on State Highway 345 South. The event is open to everyone not just Gassville residents. Gassville Mayor Jeff Braim says the parade kicks off at 10:00 in the morning. Archie Duggins will be the Grand Marshall this year.

Event Coordinator for the volunteer committee Diahanna Roller has been helping with the event for eight years. She says there are events taking place before the parade.

Roller says there are more kids activities than previous events including a bouncy house, an 18 foot slide, an obstacle course, a free book give away, a caricature artist and building projects.

Music will be playing all day. Roller advises to bring a lawn chair. The band Crossfire starts off the morning.
