Hall and Oates to Receive Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame Next Week

Mick Rock/Wolfson EntertainmentPublic eyes will be watching Daryl Hall and John Oates on Friday, September 2, when the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame duo is honored with the 2,587th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The singer/songwriters will be on hand for the ceremony, which will take place at 11:30 a.m. PT.

The star will be located at 6752 Hollywood Boulevard in front of the Musicians Institute. Veteran record executive Jerry Greenberg will be a guest speaker at the event, which will be emceed by Hollywood Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Leron Gubler. Fans who can’t make it out to the ceremony will be able to watch a live-stream of the festivities at WalkOfFame.com.

“We are proud to welcome Daryl Hall & John Oates to the world-famous Walk of Fame,” says Gubler in a statement. “Fans from all over the world are excited to know that these two great music influencers will be immortalized in history with a star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame.”

Hall and Oates released a string of popular, soulful and catchy singles during the 1970s and ’80s, including “Rich Girl,” “Sara Smile,” “One on One,” “You Make My Dreams,” “Say It Isn’t So,” “Kiss on My List,” “Private Eyes,” “I Can’t Go For That (No Can Do)” and “Maneater.” The duo was inducted into the Rock Hall in 2014 and continues to tour. They currently have a dozen U.S. shows on their 2016 itinerary.
