LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) – Hundreds of women in Little Rock and other Arkansas cities joined hundreds of thousands more in cities around the world to rally for equal rights and to send President Donald Trump a message his agenda won’t go unchallenged over the next four years.

Hundreds marched at the state Capitol in Little Rock on Saturday – just one of more than 600 cities around the world holding similar demonstrations.

Women’s March for Arkansas organizers told those gathered that women’s rights are human rights and they were standing up for the most marginalized of citizens.

Organizers estimated more than 1 million people would march worldwide the day after Trump was sworn in as president.
