Credit: Nels IsraelsonJackson Browne‘s recent tours have alternated between solo acoustic dates and electric shows with his full backing band, but the singer/songwriter apparently will be straddling the line a bit on his just-announced 2017 trek, which he’s dubbed the (Pretty Much) Somewhat Acoustic Tour. The new outing, which will visit cities in the Northeastern U.S. and across Canada, will kick off April 5 in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and is mapped out through an April 27 in Vancouver, British Columbia.

The shows will feature either multi-instrumentalist and Browne touring-band member Greg Leisz or former Nickel Creek members Sara and Sean Watkins as the opening act. Leisz and the Watkins siblings both will perform at a concert that Jackson has scheduled on April 12 in Staten Island, New York. Leisz also contributed to Browne’s latest studio album, 2014’s Standing in the Breach.

Tickets for the 2017 dates will go on sale to the public soon, while advance tickets, Guacamole Fund benefit seats and VIP packages will be available starting today, November 16, stating at 10 a.m. local time.

Browne’s itinerary also includes an appearance at the Stand in Solidarity with Standing Rock concert taking place Sunday, November 27, in Fort Yates, North Dakota. The show, which supports protestors of the Dakota Access Pipeline, also will feature Bonnie Raitt and folk artist Joel Rafael. Jackson also will perform at an all-star Linda Ronstadt tribute show on December 11 in Los Angeles.
