The Mountain Home High School girls' basketball team lost its opener in the Centennial Bank Bulldog Classic at Fayetteville. The Lady Bombers was defeated by Monticello 46-41.
Mountain Home jumped out early holding the Lady Billies to two first quarter points. The tables began to turn in the second period as the Lady Bombers went into the locker room up 20-17. The big scoring trend continued for Monticello as they would evenutally get the lead. The game stayed close throughout the second half, but the Lady Billies were able to hold on for the five-point win.
Mountain Home drops to 3-4 on the year, their next opponent on Friday will be Little Rock Central.
