McCartney’s posted a previously unreleased demo of an outtake from the sessions, titled “Twenty Fine Fingers,” on his official VEVO YouTube channel. The catchy, upbeat acoustic tune features McCartney duetting with Elvis Costello, who co-wrote the song with the Beatles legend.

“Twenty Fine Fingers” is one of nine “original demos” recorded by Paul and Elvis that appear as bonus tracks on the expanded editions of Flowers in the Dirt, due March 24. An additional set of “1988 demos” of the same nine tunes are included on the Flowers in the Dirt Deluxe Edition box set.

McCartney says of the bonus material that, at the time he and Elvis worked on the songs, they were “red hot off the skillet” and had “just been written,” adding, “That was the kind of great instant thing about them.”

McCartney and Costello co-wrote a slew of songs for the project, four of which made it onto the original Flowers in the Dirt track list. Among them was the top 40 hit “My Brave Face.”
