The Mountain Home City Council addressed zoning at their Thursday night meeting with City Clerk Brian Plumlee serving as mayor pro tem for Mayor Joe Dillard who was out of town. Also absent from the meeting were council members Eva Frame and Carl Graves.
An ordinance to rezone nearly 11 acres of property in the 1000 block of U. S. Highway 5 North in Mountain Home from residential R-1 to commercial C-2 was passed unanimously on all three readings. The petition for rezoning was presented by Attorney Ted Sanders representing his client, Louis Helvenston.
Ordinances for rates to be charged and collected for water and sewer usage was tabled for a future meeting.
